Privateers away! Own part of the Privateer and become your own swashbuckling hero. You can join as an individual, company or organisation.

Privateer Members

‘Bosun Privateers’ will be entitled to sailing vouchers* which can be used as soon as you like. You will also be listed in the Privateer Founders Book, have a brass plaque with your name on the ship in your chosen place* and invites to all major Privateer Events.

‘Commodore Privateers’ will be privileged guests as reflects a more major investment in the project. We match an investment option to suit your objectives for coming ‘on board’. There are many ways to part ownership*, including loans, leases, donations and subscriptions. Commodore Privateers will have priority participation in all major events and have significant privileges allowing them to enjoy the benefits* of being a Privateer owner.

Corporate Privateer Sponsors

We will provide exciting ways for corporate organisations to communicate effectively with our large database of prospects and customers. The message of a flamboyant vessel, sponsored by private companies and individuals is powerful and will appeal way beyond Cornwall. An historic vessel in the limelight can promote modern innovation and enterprise, with the added bonus of durability and confidence. Our professional approach to sponsorship is designed to meet your marketing targets in a cost effective manner. Every sponsorship agreement will provide specific objectives that are measurable, achievable, focused and time bound.

The Privateer Challenge

Ideally we would like a Privateer designed and built to perfection by Luke Powell, just as he did for Eve of St Mawes. There are less expensive alternatives for either a new build or for purchasing an existing vessel and adapting it to our needs. We will raise funds by a variety of methods and by having alternative solutions we will match our ends to our means.
The Founders and Skippers Debbie and Adam, the new skippers Diggs and Amy, the Classic Sailing Board and Shareholders all agree that we can make a huge success of a Privateer. After ten years we know how to run exciting voyages with a full crew of satisfied sailors.
