Women's Sailing Initiative.

Classic Sailing has pioneered many initiatives to encourage more women to sail and acquire skills and confidence.

Since our "More Women at Sea" campaign in 1999 we can now claim over 43% of our customers are women, We have employed 3 female skippers, including co-founder Debbie Purser and worked with female owner operators.

All our vessels are suitable for women, though privacy on mixed voyages is difficult on the smaller boats. Larger vessels normally segregate the sexes into different cabins unless you are sailing as partners.

Solo Travellers

The majority of our sailors travel on there own and part of the pleasure of the voyage is meeting new people in a socially equal environment.
