We regard good food as an essential part of your sailing holiday experience. Unfortunately many sailing organisations pay inadequate attention to this area and have as a consequence given the sailing industry a bad name for food.

We have right from the beginning always done our best to provide interesting meals with fresh ingredients and from local sources wherever possible. Much of the cooking is done before your eyes and a helping hand is always welcome in the preparation of vegetables and fruit.

We cater for dietary requirements and provide space on our booking applications for you to tell us your special requests.

Vessels for food

The level of catering also depends on the vessel, the season, and to some degree the weather.

The Tall Ships are cooking three hot meals a day for up to 65 people and this needs to be taken into account. They do on many occasions exceed themselves and are particularly good at barbeques.

On Eve and Annabel J the cooking is more intimate and each boat has developed its specialities, please see Adam's menus for a selection of his favourites.

Halcyon employs a highly qualified chef and will be providing meals of the highest quality with matching wines. Sample Menus are available.
