Eve Skipper 2015 Full job description, how to apply

Interviews early Feb and ideally starting end of Feb 2015 to help with refit.

Former skippers include - Diggory Rose - now running Canary Sail, Lara Caine now skippering Provident for Trinity Sailing, James MacKenzie now running Eda Frandsen Sailing and Melissa Williams now mate on Eda. ....if you want to find out what it is like working for us.

Eve is currently for Sale but we are now committed to a 2015 sailing season, so she would not be available for any buyer to sail away until 31st October 2015.  This is a seasonal post initially, but if we can find the right person who wants stay with the company and take on more responsibility for running this well loved pilot cutter, we would like to offer them a 12 month contract beyond October 2015 and keep Eve as our hard working flagship.

If there are any more vacancies we will post them on this page.

Classic Sailing works with many sailing partners and in the main we are self sufficient in finding staff.

However we do from time to time require relief or emergency staff.

If you bookmark this page you may find we do have a vacancy in the future.

We do occasionally have voluntary posts where you can gain valuable work experience and qualifying sea time - see below

Good luck in your job hunting.

Run Your Own Charter Boat

Are you at that stage in your career where you would really like to shape your own destiny ?  Classic Sailing director Debbie Purser was a 1st mate with Ocean Youth Trust on £70 a week when she and Adam decided to buy Eve of St Mawes and launch their own charter business. James MacKenzie was working for us as Eve's skipper when he bit the bullet and decided to buy Eda Frandsen and run his own business. None of us were 'loaded'.....we just found a way to raise the money.

In 2014 we have decided to sell our pilot cutter Eve after 17 fantastic seasons.  We are not giving up running Classic Sailing, but it is probably time for a new person to seize this great business opportunity.  Eve has earnt over one million pounds in charter income since launch in 1997 and has one of the best staff to guest ratios in the business (1 skipper and 6 paying guests).

Have a look at the Eve for Sale details, do your sums and come and talk to us.....
