Eve of St Mawes and St Castle frm the Ordance Survey Website

This photo shows Eve of St Mawes sailing past St Mawes Castle

Link courtesy the Ordnance Survey web site - photo courtesy John Pickersgill.

You can download this photo in April 2011 in many different sizes from http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/freefun/wallpaper/

One of Eve's previous crew sent me the link to this image and I felt it so good that I should pass it on to as many people as possible.

In more detail you can see the stunning colours of the Fal and St Mawes Bay in the Spring of the year as they are no other boats sailing and the fields are full of flowers.

It is a brilliant northerly sailing wind as Eve has one reef in her mainsail and the small jib instead of the working jib. The crew are on deck enjoying the view and exhilarating sailing.

These are the delights of sailing early in the year, bright sunshine great wind and all the fresh air you need to blow away the winter blues.

Be part of the picture and join us on a voyage this Spring

PS If anybody knows the John Pickersgill that took the photograph I would love to contact him.
