Autumn Sailing 2010

Never before have we had such a great range of autumn voyages.

Cornwall on Eve
Eve has an exciting mixture of voyages from short weekend breaks and full 6 day RYA Courses. There are some Sail – Walk - Row voyages and a specific “Women go Wild Weekend” countered by a boys Pirate Weekend to coincide with “Talk like a Pirate Day” 19th September. We have just the one RYA Start Yachting Course.

Annabel J in the Solent
AJ will be taking part in the Yarmouth Isle of Wight Pilot Cutter Regatta and offering some fantastic value for money weekend voyages up to the end of October. Phil the skipper is an expert on Solent sailing and as the main season is over there are more opportunities to fully enjoy this brilliant sailing ground.

Lizzie May in Scotland
Lizzie May only sails up to the end of September which is correct for Scotland but there are some amazing voyages still to be had. Mostly based in Oban, easy to get to via Glasgow, Lizzie has added due to popular demand another Gourmet Voyage with chef and skipper Laurie delighting all on board. There is a scenic trip through the Caledonian Canal as the trees begin there autumn display of russet colours. Last but not least a passage from Inverness down the East Coast of Scotland to Leith for her winter home.

Cape Verde on Oosterschelde
These remote African Islands are the Autumn and Winter sailing grounds for Oosterschelde who has local connections and an extensive experience of all the best places to go. Warm and sunny with good sailing winds help make this a wonderful Autumn holiday, a real chance to get away from it all.
Oosterschelde sailing holidays are always well received and the food and accommodation are delightful.
 Mathilda on Europa
South Pacific
This is our first season of voyages on Søren Larsen though she is neither a new ship nor unknown to us. Adam has sailed on her when she was in the UK and we have both done a small amount of Pacific sailing.  Søren’s voyages across Polynesia and based in Vanuatu are voyages of a life time well worth travelling right around the world for. Flights are best routed through Sydney for these South Pacific voyages.

Head South – deep South Atlantic and Antarctica
Europa has a voyage from Canada to Brazil crossing the equator for a crossing the line ceremony where King Neptune comes aboard and a lot of fun is had. Form there she sails to Ushuaia near Cape Horn in Southern Argentina where she is based for her three week trips to Antarctica. If you want to visit Antarctica this is probably the best way to do it. Europa has wild life experts on board and they accompany you when you go ashore to help explain the wonders of nature you see around you. You will see whales, penguins, albatross and lots of ice, icebergs and glaciers.

British Tall Ship in the UK
Stavros Niarchos is fast running out of availability on her autumn voyages around Wales and Southern England.
