A wilderness worth discovering...

A voyage to the Antarctica on the Barque Europa is a once in a lifetime experience.  This vast unspoilt wilderness is inhabited only by wildlife, glittering glaciers, vertical cliffs and ice capped mountains.

The action packed 22 day voyage starts with albatrosses and petrels amongst the giant rollers of the Southern Ocean, crosses the Drakes Passage south of Cape Horn and passes giant icebergs creating magnificent scenes.

Once amongst the islands, fjords and wide straits along the edge of the Antarctic mainland, the seas are free from ocean swell and sheltered by high mountains. The climate is one of the driest on earth and often crystal clear and sunny.

The wildlife is extraordinary, fleets of penguins and acrobatic fur seals accompany the Europa to every anchorage.  These seas are rich in krill so there are frequent sightings of sperm whales, humpback wales, fin whales, orcas and Commarens' dolphins.
