Skills worth learning...

"Learning to sail should be on everyone's list of things to do in a lifetime."

Nikki, Editor of Cornwall Today and Competent Crew student

Learning to sail with Classic Sailing teaches people more than how to get from A to B in a tradiitonal boat.  Teamwork, communication and leadership skills are vital lessons learnt through crewing our boats on all voyages.  We also run accredited RYA qualification trips.

RYA Courses

The RYA Competent Crew and Day Skipper courses take place in Cornwall on wooden pilot cutter Eve of St Mawes.

The six day courses combine tradiitonal seamanship with modern technology such as radar and GPS.

Navigation theory, knot work, sail handling and skippering skills are covered on these vastly rewarding teaching voyages.

Detailed information on RYA courses

Woman and Home Magazine selected our sailing voyages in their Top 10 Learning Holidays in May 2010.

Lonely Planet Magazine chose our trips as one of their Best Weekend Breaks in February 2010.
