"Can’t see my feet swaying on the foot rope, or the deck below, but I can hear my heart pounding." - Dave

Sailing traditional boats harnesses the elements to voyage to extraordinary places. Traditional boats take more human strength and teamwork than modern yachts. There are no winches, only blocks and tackle. The sails are heaved up and hauled in by manpower alone.
Our vessels don't require experience and are a great leveller between those that have and have not sailed. The decks are wider and flatter than on modern boats and although the rigging looks more complicated, it can be clearly followed.
Sailing is sociable, physical and rewarding. Some of our voyages sail to places that can only be reached by sea and so there is a real sense of exploration. Likewise, only from a boat can you see marine animals in their natural habitat.
Many of the tallships are crewed by a multinational mix which provides great entertainment. Living aboard a boat reacquaints guests with the basic necessities of life: shelter, food and company.
We offer different length and price voyages from £99 UK daysails on tall ship Stavros to 52 day explorations of the Antarctic on Barque Europa at €6700 per person.
