Sailing adventures - why they are good for you

Reasons go deeper than a good tan and ever changing seascape, so why do we sail?

Back to Fundamentals

Adventure Sailing brings you back to fundamentals. Spending a few days on a boat brings out the best in human nature. Living and working together we talk a lot, laugh a lot, put the world to rights and learn more than we expect.

"Absolutely brilliant sailing, have been on a complete "high" ever since, which couldn’t be removed even when sitting on the underground and walking under grey London skies" Anna P.

Kindness of Strangers

On a moving deck it’s OK lend a hand to someone you only met yesterday and its not always the young that are left standing !

Humility and Wonder

The wind drives us along with minimal sound and zero pollution. Nature is more powerful than we are. We harness it to our best ability and sometimes it’s a wild and exhilarating ride. Adventure sailing also has those quiet moments that etch themselves into our memory, where the sea and skies provide moments of pure beauty.

"five nights aboard is tiring but in a healthy way. On our last night together we compared blisters, sore muscles and tended our salt-burnt lips, but all with heroic pride. It was a glowing achieved-something feeling" Nikki V, Cornwall Today magazine.

Relax and Recharge.

Want rosy glowing skin? Steer a ship through a squall and watch the skies brighten beyond. Need to stimulate your immune system? Dive off the bowsprit at anchor in the Scillies, where the water looks (and feels) like a chilled gin and tonic. If you are not into all this detox stuff then surprise your tired body and drag it aloft on a tall ship and shout “top of the world”.

That's adventure sailing for you!

Leave the mundane behind, forget your troubles, experience nature to bring you back to life.
