Solo Travellers
The majority of Classic Sailings guests come on their own but return having made new friends. We do have couples and the occasional family or group but we would never put a single person in with an already established group. The object of the voyages is to enjoy the sailing, take in the scenery and thoroughly relax by doing something different; there are no overtones of singles and all that goes with that. People on their own enjoy our voyages because there is no pressure and they are part of a secure team where everyone joins in together. There is lots of personal attention and everyone gets a fair share of all that's going on. You won't feel left out and there is no need to worry about how you will fit in.
All the skippers enjoy helping you get the most out of the voyage and showing you how much fun you can have sailing. For solo travellers it's a very simple philosophy, every one is in the same boat. It's never a long voyage so there is no concern about not getting on with someone. Everybody onboard has made a commitment to the holiday and all are inclined to make it as pleasant as possible. Being in the same boat really does work.
