Lying on the North-West Coast of Scotland, Arisaig is a small village surrounded by breathtaking scenery and makes a scenic alternative to the working port of Mallaig for joining.
 
Some travel options are shown below but please check all details thoroughly yourself.
 
Car

From Glasgow take the A82 to Fort William and then follow the A830 “Road to the Isles” to Arisaig. The drive from Fort William normally takes approximately 45 minutes, but it is advisable to allow a little extra time during the summer months.
 
Train

Arisaig, the most westerly station on mainland Britain, lies near the end of the “West Highland Line”, recently made famous by the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter. This train line is regarded as one of them of the most scenic in the whole of the UK. Trains run regularly from Glasgow direct to Arisaig and there is a sleeper service from London Euston through to Fort William. The station is a 5 minute walk from the landing stage where you will be met by dinghy to be rowed out to Lizzie May at her mooring.

Bus

Daily bus services run from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness or Oban to Fort William.
Shiel Buses depart Fort William at 10:10  13:45 and 17:40 Monday to Friday and the drive to Arisaig takes about 1 hour
 
Air

There are daily services from London to Inverness and the flight takes just over 1½ hours. There are also daily services from London to Glasgow and Edinburgh. You can then hire a car or travel by bus or train to Arisaig. Please remember, though, that this leg of the journey will take a bit longer than the flight!
 
Glasgow International Airport has a frequent regular direct coach service to Glasgow Central going onto Glasgow Queen Street Railway Stations. Allow 2 ½ hours from landing time to the Railway Stations.
 
 
Arisaig Harbour Tea Room & Gift Shop
The newly built Harbour Office, which also houses a small Tea Room & Gift Shop provides a convenient place to wait before joining.
 
The Tea Room provides high quality Fairtrade Organic Coffees, Hot Chocolate & Speciality Teas. There is a good selection of Home Baking and tubs of delicious Organic Ice Cream & Smoothies.
The Gift Shop offers a wide range of unusual Gifts, Jewellery, Soaps & Cards. You can also purchase local Walking Guides, Maps & Fishing Equipment.
 
Accommodation
Possible places to stay in Arisaig the night before boarding include:
Arisaig Hotel dates back to the Jacobite era and was originally built as a Coaching Inn around 1720. The Hotel offers both Bar and Dining Room meals and has a Public and Cocktail Bar.
The Old Library is a 200-year-old stone built stable that has been converted into a cheerful and welcoming Restaurant with Rooms
