San Miguel Marina - Tenerife

Getting to San Miguel Marina - Tenerife

San Miguel Marina is part of Amarilla Golf Resort, and so the approach is different in as much as you will go through the resort, in order to reach the sea. Information on the resort can be found here.

If you are arriving a day or two earlier, there is a hotel in the resort that can accommodate you, but as we have not stayed there this is not a personal recommendation.

By Plane
There are many regional airports for flights to Tenerife, and prices can vary a lot, depending on date and carrier, and when you book. Do not buy your flights until your berth is confirmed.

 Tenerife- Getting From the airport to San Miguel Marina

Once you have arrived at TFS airport you are just a few minutes away from Bessie Ellen. As you can see from the map, she is very close, and just a short taxi ride from the airport. This should cost in the region of €15 euros.
 
 
If we know your flight details and know that you are on the same flight as other crew, we will do our best to help you to connect prior to your departure, so that you can share taxis and transfers.
 
 
Bus Service (Public)
Tenerife has an excellent and extensive modern bus service throughout the island. However, for this voyage, we would recommend taking a taxi to San Miguel marina. There is a bus that stops close to the resort on the main road, but you will then have to walk down through the resort. Unless your Spanish is good, your transfer might be longer than intended.
 
Have a photo of the ship handy to help taxi driver identify / find ship.
 
Marina facilities are limited to a very nice cafe, toilets and showers. There is also a submarine that you can pay to go on, as a visitor attraction.
