Glasgow

Glasgow is famous for its shipbuilding and is the largest city in Scotland. It’s a tough city but the people are friendly, much less stuck up than Edinburgh.
If you enjoy architecture go to the Glasgow School of Art designed by Renee Macintosh and ask to visit the library. Quite the most wonderful piece of interior design – so elegant and restful.
Glasgow also has a fascinating Maritime Museum and lots of ships models of the vessel built in Govan and other ship yards.
There is still a Nautical School in Glasgow where Merchant Navy deck and engineer officers are trained. Some of them sail with Classic Sailing.
In the evening there are many fine pubs and restaurants and in the morning stroll into Glasgow Botanical Gardens for some quiet reflections on life the universe and that the answer to everything is 42.
