 Poole Harbour

Poole Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the world and was recently described as the Cote d'Azur of the south coast. It is a haven for watersports enthusiasts, from windsurfers, kite surfers, sailors and those joining one of the cross channel ferries.

Getting there and away is easy, being located near to Bournemouth airport, and a railway station. For those driving, there is plenty of parking.

Coach Services

National Express offers a regular service to most major towns and cities plus a new Flightlink service, up to 24 times per day to/from Heathrow Airport and central London with connections to Gatwick Airport. Coaches arrive at Seldown Coach Park, which is next to Poole Bus Station.

Bournemouth Airport Shuttle
Bournemouth Airport Shuttle runs between Bournemouth town centre and the airport once an hour from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week, serving the Travel Interchange, East Cliff, the Pier, West Cliff and the Square. Journey times from the Travel Interchange to Bournemouth Airport take just 15 minutes. At the Travel Interchange you can transfer to a bus or train to Poole.

Please note: The Bournemouth Airport Shuttle Bus does not operate on 25th & 26th December, and 1st January.

Arriving by train? Ask for a Plusbus ticket. If you are arriving in Poole by train, for an extra £3 on the price of your rail ticket (£1.50 for children) you can enjoy unlimited travel for the day on most local bus services. Wilts & Dorset, Yellow Buses, First and the majority of smaller bus operators are included and you can hop on and off the buses all day with your rail plusbus ticket. Passengers can travel over a wide area including not just Poole but also neighbouring towns of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Wimborne. Ask at your local train station for details of Plusbus.
