Schull

Schull is a gorgeous little fishing village on the Mizen Peninsula, and a useful location for embarking and disembarking your voyage.

Whilst it is only 65km from Cork, you should allow plenty of time to get here. It takes approximately 2.5 hours by bus, but there are only a handful of buses a day that will take you all the way, with a possible change at Skibbereen.

Flights

Cork is the most convenient airport to fly to, with regards to its location being only 65km from Schull. There are several operators that serve the airport, those being Ryanair, Aer Arann and Aer Lingus. from a variety of UK airports.

Once at Cork the best option is to catch a bus to Schull.

Bus Eireann serves the area and as I write (Nov 2011) bus number 237 links Cork - Schull - Cork.
