Tall Ships Races for 2013

Tall Ships Races in 2013 - vessels, dates & prices

There is a major summer Tall Ships race in the Baltic, the Mediterannean and Australia - New Zealand for 2013 so it offers great sailing and very unique ports to visit.

The Baltic Tall Ships Races 2013

Race One
Arhus, Denmark - Thurs 4 - Sun 7 July Helsinki

Cruise-in-Company
Helsinki, Finland - Wed 17 - Sat 20 July Riga in Latvia

Race Two
Riga, Latvia - Thurs 25 - Sun 28 July to Szczecin in Poland

Szczecin, Poland - Sat 3 - Tues 6 August

The Baltic Tall Ships race is open to anyone between 15 and 80 but the ships have to have 50% of the whole ships crew below 26 years old.

No experience is needed but a good level of general fitness is required. Classic Sailing are always actively seeking tall ships events suitable for all ages, however some Tall Ships Races may have quotas on crew aged over 25 as they are organised by sail training organisations and generally aimed at young people to promote international friendship. Tall Ship racing is a great way to meet new people of all nationalities, visit some wonderful ports and have an experience of a lifetime. Ring us for advice.

Race on Barque Europa, Oosterschelde and Tecla this summer in Australia and New Zealand

Tall ship sailing on Barque EuropaThree masted barque Europa is one of the few tall ships in the world that can rig skysails and stun'sails, flying a total of 30 sails, and she races very competitively.

Barque Europa won a prize for the ship with the most nationalities in the crew in 2009 Trans Atlantic Tall Ships Race and won the Trans Atlantic Challenge 2009 series overall in Tall Ships Class A.

Tall Ships Racing on Tenacious in the Baltic 2013

This three masted wooden British owned tall ship was purpose built so disabled and able bodied crew can sail as equals. The atmosphere is always very special on board. One of the race legs is already fully booked.

Want to sail a tall ship, but not racing ?

We have many tall ship voyages each year from day sails in Auckland or the UK to wildlife expeditions in Antarctica, The Arctic, or somewhere warmer like the South Pacific or Cape Verde. Island hopping and mountain backdrops are some of our favourite destinations from Azores to St Kilda, New Zealand to the Mediterranean.
