Great Customer Care -Three Crew and only 8 Guests

No experience is necessary as you will learn the ropes and receive full instruction from our professional crew who have worked with many newcomers to sailing. We love sharing our passion for Eda and traditional sailing and you will be assured of a truly hands on sailing experience. Traditional Sailing boats like Eda are powered by the wind, but to harness it requires quite a bit of satisfying physical effort and teamwork. There are no winches on board, so you soon get to know your fellow guests as you haul on blocks and tackles. Hoist sails, raise the anchor and steer Eda in some great scenic waters whilst receiving admiring glances by other boat users, or enjoy the solitude of Western Scotland where you may have the whole seascape to yourselves. Generally each evening we will be in a different anchorage where you can sit and relax after a great day sailing and appreciate the surroundings with a glass of wine before dinner.

Skipper James MacKenzieFoodie Team Aboard Eda Frandsen

At Classic Sailing we are lucky that many of the vessels we work with cook exceptionally good food, but the team on Eda Frandsen really pull out the stops to feed their guest crews in hearty style.

James's enthusiasm for catching crabs and lobster with the ships own creels (pots) combined with ships cook Chloe creating amazing puddings and home baking, means the food is definitely going to be a highlight of your voyage on Eda Frandsen.

Highlights of the Fal

Steeped in maritime history, Falmouth has the third largest natural deepest harbour in the world offering beautiful creeks to explore and fantastic sailing waters. With an active maritime industry, including local fishing, traditional boat building and oyster dredging by sail. We know these waters well and look forward to sharing the best anchorages, coastal walks combined with a friendly atmosphere and memorable sailing.

Picturesque Coastal villages

Beautiful villages line the coast of Cornwall, nestled between headlands and bays. Anchor off Polperro, Looe, Coverack or Mevagissey for lunch, or head ashore to discover local life at its best. The scenic Helford River is only a few miles to the west, famous for Daphne Du Maurier's Frenchman’s Creek as well as the location for many WWII craft before the Normandy Landings.Fowey is a favourite port to visit, 20 miles east of Falmouth, a beautiful passage along the coast.

Fantastic sailing, fine walks along the coast path or relax with a drink at a waterside pub, all of this in 3 days
