You really don't need any sailing experience for this amazing event. The crews on each pilot cutter are a motley mix of charter guests, boatbuilders and friends, family crews, dogs...

Join Annabel J at 0900hrs on Friday morning at Warsash on the River Hamble and after an introduction to the boat and safety briefing, sail down the river and across the Solent to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. This short passage and the protected waters of the Solent give a great sailing playground for everybody to become used to sailing this big pilot cutter and for those who like to 'tweek' - you can try out various sail plans and get everything ready for racing on Saturday. 

If you are keen to learn a lot in a short space of time and do lots of sail handling and manourvring then this is a great voyage - and well rewarded at the end of each day with crew social events ashore. 

Over the weekend Annabel J's crew are guests of the Royal Solent Yacht Club Yarmouth and 1 meal and refreshments will be taken ashore (additional charge for the evening meal ashore on this voyage - but it means you can get the most out the sailing - all other meals catered for and included on board).

Be sure to bring your camera because the pilot cutters will be 'dressed overall' in this small historic harbour and will make a wonderful sight together in close quarters

On Saturday AJ will take part in two spectacular races with pilot cutters like Polly Agatha, Amelie Rose and the ledgendary le Harvre original pilot cutter Jolie Brise, followed by more racing on Sunday, and a prize giving in the evening. Celebrations that evening will be followed by a more leisurely start to Monday- with a cruise back to the Hamble. (ends 1600hrs on Monday).

In 2011 Annabel J came first overall for this event. Join her in 2012 and help to be a part of the winning team again.
